Pediatric Nursing Career Pathways

As a pediatric nursing professional, you know that our specialty offers many roles and ways to lead at the bedside and beyond. However, it can be overwhelming to get started in finding the right pathway and reliable resources to guide you along the way.

To fill this gap, PNCB’s Institute of Pediatric Nursing now provides career pathway infographics to inspire students and practicing nurses looking to grow professionally so they can pursue and sustain a rewarding future in our specialty.

IPN’s free resources offer:

  • 11 infographics - Ready now!
  • Pathways including both RN and APRN roles
  • Suggested steps to pursue new roles
  • Tips on identifying mentors and advocates along the way

Support for Educators: If you teach, we make it easy to integrate these tools into the classroom or high school nursing boot camp activities with nine activities to engage students and spark an interest in pediatrics.

Please share this new library of resources to help guide high school students to pediatric nursing, attract more nurses to pediatrics…or strengthen their pediatric expertise our specialty already has through advancement opportunities. More pathways are coming soon.
