The CPN exam validates knowledge and expertise of pediatric nurses beyond basic RN licensure. RNs may have a diploma, associate's degree, BSN, MSN, or higher nursing degree and meet one of two eligibility pathways.

Recertify as a CPN
All certification boards require a renewal or recertification process to document how you are maintaining competence in practice. CPN "Recert" is annual and takes place each year between October 1 and January 31. (November 1 in 2018)
