PMHS Retest Benefit

PNCB OFFICE CLOSED

Based on the executive order issued 3/23/2020 by the Governor of Maryland, PNCB’s physical office is closed. Staff are working remotely to continue to serve candidates, certificants, and employers. Please use email addresses listed here to contact us, and thank you for understanding that there may be some delay in our response. All online systems including certificant portals and the CE / Pediatric Updates marketplace are still available 24/7. Please check back frequently for updates here.

New Eligibility Timeframe
PNCB has expanded the timeframe in which required practice hours and CE/graduate coursework can be counted toward exam eligibility from 3 years to 5 years. See the eligibility page for details.

Free PMHS Retest Benefit

If you do not pass the Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist (PMHS) exam on your first attempt, you can retest again at no cost!

To benefit:

  • After an unsuccessful PMHS exam, PNCB staff will send you a special promo code. Use the one-time code instead of payment when you re-apply for your second attempt.
  • PNCB will notify you when the code is active so you can re-apply.
  • You must apply to retest for the next available testing window.

Policies:

  • There are no strings: no contract to sign or no minimum number of colleagues to apply with you to receive this benefit.
  • Any failure to show for a scheduled exam will result in forfeiture of the benefit.
  • This is a one-time benefit. Subsequent unsuccessful PMHS exams will not result in a new code.
