How and When to Recertify

You worked hard to earn certification. Learn how to maintain your credential below so you'll be prepared to recertify. 

Recertification for 2022 begins November 1, 2021. You pick the day to recertify during these dates. You can recertify with a late fee February 1 - 28, 2022.

Recertification for 2021 ended 2/28/2021. Did your certification expire? Learn about reinstatement.

  • Certified Pediatric Nurse - CPN

    All certification boards require a renewal or recertification process to document how you are maintaining competence in practice. CPN "Recert" is annual and takes place each year between November 1 and January 31. 

  • Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist - PMHS

    PMHSs recertify every 3 years to document how they are maintaining competence in practice. The Recert application is due between November 1 and January 31 prior to your wallet card expiration date.
