For PNPs: Empowering Professional Diversity Scholarship
This $3,000 scholarship is offered jointly by PNCB and NAPNAP Foundation to support the education of a pediatric-focused nurse who identifies with an ethnic or culturally diverse background, racial diversity, gender diversity, disability, or otherwise a member of a historically marginalized community and underrepresented in pediatric nursing and who is pursuing a degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP).
Qualification Criteria:
- Acceptance into or current part-time or full-time enrollment in accredited PNP program.
- Member of a historically marginalized community.
- Must have an expected graduation date within three years or less.
- Must be in good standing academically, GPA of 3.0 to 4.0 (based on 4-point system).
- Most recent unofficial transcript.
- 500-word essay related to your interest in pediatric nursing: describe why you are passionate about pediatric nursing, what unique strengths and experiences you would offer the specialty, and how you might inspire others who share your background to consider pediatric nursing.

- CV/resume.
- Two letters of support - one from a nursing colleague and one from a faculty member focused in pediatrics. Letters should address your clinical competence, academic achievement, and leadership. If you are not yet enrolled in a PNP program, a letter from a supervisor will be accepted.
