PNCB CEO Speaks about Child Mental Health and PMHS Certification
PNCB’s Chief Executive Officer Sheri Sesay-Tuffour, PhD, CAE, ICE-CCP, CNED, recently joined other industry experts on the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) TeamPeds Talks Podcast to talk about the child mental health crisis and how Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist (PMHS) certification helps address the crisis.
The Future of Child Mental Health episode is open access. Highlights of Dr. Sesay-Tuffour’s discussion include:
- Details of PNCB’s PMHS exam
- The critical need for specialized developmental, behavioral, and mental health care in primary care and related settings, and
- The PMHS job task analysis study, which included 40 pages of write-in comments related to the emotional harm to children and teens caused by the pandemic.
