Debra Arnow, DNP, RN, NE-BC
Nurse Executive-at-Large Representative
I highly value the recognition of expertise required to care for children across all settings. This recognition has tremendous impact on systems in attracting and retaining nurses.
Arnow is Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of the Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She brings 40 years of in-depth experience in multiple roles to the board table, including President of the Society of Pediatric Nurses from 2010 to 2012.
Donna Bigani, PhD(c), RN, CPN
CPN-at-Large Representative
After over 21 years of nursing, my passion and commitment to pediatric nursing continues to increase. I thoroughly enjoy every role I’ve undertaken and view each as an opportunity to make a difference.
Bigani serves as Charge Nurse for the surgical unit at Children's Health of Orange County in Orange, California and also as Magnet Program Facilitator. In addition to direct care and unit supervision, she excels as a forward-thinking mentor, leader, and advocate for pediatric RN education and its impact on child health.
Carly Byrne, MSN, RN, PCNS-BC, CCNA, CPN, CCRN-K
CPN-at-Large Representative
I have always been passionate about specialty nursing certification, both personally and in promoting nursing specialty certification at unit, organizational, statewide, and national levels.
Byrne, a Professional Practice Leader at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, is a catalyst for improvements—for patients, staff, and systems. She has extensive experience as a PNCB volunteer in support of continuing education and CPN exam program areas, and is a past recipient of the CPN Certification Advocate Award.
Michael Maymi, DNP, APRN, CPNP-AC, CCRN
CPNP-AC-at-Large Representative
I look forward to providing creative thinking to help strengthen and build the future strategies of PNCB.
Maymi serves as Lead Cardiac Critical Nurse Practitioner at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He offers more than 20 years of experience, beginning in the military and ED nursing and later with a focused concentration in pediatric cardiac critical care. A volunteer for PNCB's Acute Care CPNP Exam Committee, Maymi looks forward to applying his innovative thinking to his new role with PNCB.
