CPNP-PC Retesting Policies

Unsuccessful Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) exam candidates will follow the retesting policies below beginning May 26, 2021 and beyond.

If it has been more than 12 months since your last exam attempt, the activities described in the below chart must have been completed within the preceding 12 months of your current exam application. If you are completing a review course to meet retest requirements, the review course must have been completed after your most recent testing experience. To confirm completion, submit your CE certificate received after completion of the review course. The CE certificate must include your name, the name of the review course, the date of completion, and the number of accredited contact hours awarded. The CE certificate must be completed and issued by the provider. PNCB may independently audit the submitted CE certificate.

Use this retest documentation form if submitting 15 contact hours per area of weakness. Tip! Planning to use PNCB CE? Use this spreadsheet of applicable content per domain area to help you calculate hours. Need additional guidance? Please use this document for  additional information.

If you are unsuccessful on the CPNP exam on your 4th attempt or beyond, please contact PNCB at exam@pncb.org for requirements.
