- Differentiate between disease control, elimination, and eradication as it relates to vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs).
- Describe the epidemiology, modes of transmission, and current outbreak trends of measles, poliovirus, and hepatitis B in the United States and globally.
- Recognize the characteristic clinical manifestations, complications, and diagnostic findings associated with measles, polio, and hepatitis B infections.
- Summarize evidence-based management and treatment strategies for measles, polio, and hepatitis B infections.
- Implement prevention and infection control measures to reduce disease transmission, including vaccination, post-exposure prophylaxis, and appropriate isolation precautions.
